Job Summary

The Vice President of International is responsible for driving UFP’s international growth. This role oversees our international business operations, including manufacturing, sales, marketing, and financial performance. The VP provides strategic leadership, fosters multinational customer relationships, and identifies high-value opportunities for acquisitions and partnerships.

Location: Grand Rapids, Detroit, St Louis, Atlanta, Charlotte. Other locations TBD

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

International Operations:

  • Lead UFP’s global operations, including sourcing, manufacturing, and sales.
  • Oversee international manufacturing and design assets in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Spain, and India.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions or partnerships in strategic markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multinational customers to expand the company’s global reach.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, international trade laws, and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align international operations with overall company goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecast trends, and monitor financial performance across global markets.

Leadership and Administration:

  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
  • Represent UFP at global industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements.
  • Prepare reports, present findings, and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Mentor and develop international teams, ensuring long-term organizational success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, related technical science, or an MBA.
  • At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in operations (International experience a plus), sales management, or related experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing international growth strategies, including acquisitions and partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of global trade practices, compliance, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
  • Familiarity with UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines is preferred.
  • Strong public speaking, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other business software.
