Position Title: Member Services Coordinator

Department: Member Services

Classification: Full Time – Non Exempt

Position Reports to: Director of Member Services

Location: Carlsbad, CA – Hybrid schedule, Tuesday & Thursday in office

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.

Job Overview

The NAMM Member Services Coordinator will help drive member and trade show engagement, as well as support NAMM’s mission, through coordinating key association and event programs. This role will support Member Services department activities and collaborate with NAMM members, member groups and NAMM’s Marketing team. An ideal candidate will quickly grow into this role and take ownership of key programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate signature NAMM member services, such as industry networking and mentorship groups (e.g., NAMM Young Professionals and Women of NAMM), an awards program and more.
  • Support the development and execution of globally recognized NAMM education events (e.g., NAMM U at The NAMM Show), including coordinating the communications to 100-plus speakers, speaker agreements and materials, and session database administration.
  • Collaborate with the NAMM Marketing team to build awareness of key NAMM membership services.
  • Assist the Member Services team with membership campaigns, membership renewals and database updates.
  • Support NAMM’s music education advocacy efforts by providing logistical and administrative support for the annual NAMM Advocacy D.C. Fly-In and other policy initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in onsite coordination of education programs and member events at The NAMM Show, including speaker and program support.
  • Contribute to developing and refining strategies to enhance member community engagement and satisfaction with programs.
  • Actively foster strong member relationships through responsive communication and consistent support.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Zoom
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and diplomatic approach
  • Outstanding organizational and administration skills, with the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility with time and additional duties assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar database or CRM system
  • Music industry experience at a music retail business or music manufacturing brand
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp)
