The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their expertise in UI/UX, visual design, video, and/or animations with a deep understanding of digital best practices within a regulated industry.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality, engaging, and user-centered digital assets for our website, mobile banking app, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, and other digital marketing channels.
- Edit and enhance video content, including adding graphics, text overlays, and sound design to create polished and effective messages.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, sales, and compliance teams to translate business objectives and user needs into intuitive and visually appealing digital experiences.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and brand guidelines to ensure consistency and coherence across all digital touchpoints.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, and user flows to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
- Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) and regulatory requirements relevant to the banking industry.
- Optimize digital assets for various platforms and devices to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness.
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop ideas from concept into a visually appealing and interactive experience.
- Explore new digital technology to effectively communicate TowneBank product offerings across digital channels.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and/or optimization.
- Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). This includes but is not limited to complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious member and/or account activity.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital media, film production, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital design projects.
- Proficiency in industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Understand color theory, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Knowledge of user research, wireframing, and usability testing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- A passion for creating exceptional digital experiences.
- Strong storytelling abilities through visual media, particularly video and animation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is a significant plus.
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
