Job Description
MIPS is seeking an experienced Product Manager for the 32-bit Platform IP Business to define and drive next-generation MIPS RISC-V Processors. The Product Manager will have responsibilities for the entire product life cycle from concept, execution, go-to-market, and sustaining activities. The Product Manager will work in a cross-functional organization including marketing and engineering organizations, as well as engaging with customers and ecosystem partners, to build the best possible product to solve the problems of tomorrow. MIPS is seeking an experienced Product Manager for the 32-bit Platform IP Business to define and drive next-generation MIPS RISC-V Processors. The Product Manager will have responsibilities for the entire product life cycle from concept, execution, go-to-market, and sustaining activities. The Product Manager will work in a cross-functional organization including marketing and engineering organizations, as well as engaging with customers and ecosystem partners, to build the best possible product to solve the problems of tomorrow. Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal organizations as well as engaging with key customers to understand the problems they are trying to solve
- Work closely with architecture and engineering teams to define implementable product requirements that satisfy market needs
- Drive products through their respective Product Life Cycles, from architectural exploration with our architecture and modelling teams, through Engineering Execution
- Define the “whole product” and create impactful collateral for public consumption
- Perform market analysis to identify key growth areas for future products
- Own business results together with the sales organization
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years` experience
- Strong familiarity with CPU architectures including Arm, MIPS, and RISC-V
- Strong understanding of the 32-bit microcontroller CPU market, ideally both in terms of CPU IP and SOC vendors across automotive and industrial
- Experience in driving a cross-functional team to a common objective
- Process and detail oriented with experience using Jira or similar issue tracking systems
- Ability to simplify complex problems and navigate uncertainty
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Business acumen and instincts to support closing deals
- Strong knowledge and experience with microcontroller applications including motor control and digital power conversion
- Strong knowledge and experience with audio and edge AI applications
- Proven track record of driving products from concept to revenue
