Our dynamic Finance team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to help keep our financial operations running smoothly. Job Description
Our dynamic Finance team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to help keep our financial operations running smoothly. This role is more than just crunching numbers - you’ll manage key accounting processes, ensure accurate reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally to support business decisions. What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of accounts receivable and account payable (AR/AP) - Including invoicing, dispute resolution, vendor/customer communications
- Monitor AR Aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections
- Assist in financial close processes including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger records through routine bookkeeping
- Support financial reporting efforts, including variance analysis and reconciliations
- Collaborate with Accounting Manager and other stakeholders on ad hoc projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and revenue recognition
- Experience with accounting software
- Such as: QuickBooks, NetSuite, Rippling, Certify, Vena, or similar
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Think: Advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling
- Basic knowledge of, or interest in, SaaS accounting standards
- Hands on experience working in Accounting or Finance
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Unphased by large, multi-tab spreadsheets
- Able to independently handle multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Problem-solver, with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Thrive in a rapidly evolving industry, managing multiple priorities with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Positive can-do attitude with the ability to thrive amidst ambiguity as needed
- Default to thoughtful, humble, empathetic, respectful, and calm communication
- Organized, detail-oriented, and an expert at multitasking
- Self-motivated team player who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Estimated base salary range $75,000 - 100,000 plus annual discretionary bonus.
