As a Remote Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, managing, and overseeing the organizations compliance framework to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. You will be responsible for implementing compliance strategies that promote ethical conduct and reduce legal and operational risks across all areas of the business.
In this role, you will design and maintain robust compliance programs, conduct internal audits, perform risk assessments, and develop training materials that foster a culture of accountability and transparency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, human resources, operations, IT security, finance, and executive leadership to interpret regulatory obligations, assess compliance gaps, and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Key responsibilities will also include monitoring and analyzing changes in relevant laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, FCPA), coordinating regulatory filings and third-party audits, and producing detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and external regulators. You will be expected to manage compliance documentation, investigate potential violations, and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures.
Success in this position requires strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, exceptional project management and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory information in a clear and practical manner. Experience working in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or technology is preferred. As a fully remote position, this role also demands a high level of self-direction, organization, and digital communication proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain company-wide compliance programs and controls
Conduct internal reviews and audits to assess compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, revise, and communicate compliance policies and procedures
Research and stay current on regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations
Deliver compliance training and support continuous education for staff across departments
Investigate compliance issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership and external bodies
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and third-party auditors
Promote a strong ethical culture and integrate compliance practices into business strategy
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Law, Business, Risk Management, or a related field (Masters or JD preferred)
2+ years of compliance-related experience in a corporate or regulatory setting
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
Proven experience designing, managing, or auditing compliance frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Familiarity with compliance tools, reporting platforms, and data security protocols.
