Qualifications

Job Summary: The HR Generalist II participates in and provides information for the implementation of core HR processes, in accordance with applicable regulations and internal policies. This position will support smooth, effective, and timely execution of HR operations, with special emphasis on performance management, employee administration, benefits, and rewards administration. You will collaborate with the entire team to promote a strong, employee-oriented, high-performance culture.

Essential Functions

  • Manages the implementation and oversite of the employee performance / goals within the Paycom Performance Management module.
  • Provides guidance to Supervisors concerning ongoing Performance Management.
  • Reviews, revises, and manages job descriptions and the storage of them within the HRIS.
  • Collaborates with Department heads to ensure the job descriptions are up to date with current operational needs.
  • Tracks turnover to metrics to include cost calculation and potential unemployment trends
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets HR data / metrics including Talent Acquisition data requirements
  • Responsible for the unemployment claims for all employees – including UC hearings.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; revises policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Conducts timely audits of all documents required to be maintained in employee personnel files.
  • Receives and responds in a timely manner to all employment verification inquiries.
  • Creates and maintains employee off-boarding and exit surveys.
  • Administers termination process paperwork and equipment pick up.
  • Facilitates Exit Interviews and compiles appropriate data for board reports and Workforce Development Council.
  • Backup for worker’s comp and employee leaves.
  • Responsible for training on Predicative Index Modules along with sustainability of tools
  • The environment at Diversus Health is fluid and roles and responsibilities may be altered to accommodate changing business conditions and objectives. Employees may be asked to perform duties that are outside of specific work that is listed within their job descriptions. This position may require you to work standard hours, as well as flexible hours both before and after standard hours, and may include work in excess of 40 hours in a work week as necessary to the position’s needs.
  • Mobility Clause: Based on business need, this position may be needed to work and/or travel on a temporary basis at any premises which the agency currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to time provide services. This position may require that the employee travel with or without notice as needed within the scope of the position responsibility.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of two years of directly related experience.
  • HR Certification(s): PHR, SHRM-CP, preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively and constructively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to build rapport and work closely and cooperatively with internal staff and external customers and community members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as effective presentation skills.
