Position Summary

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC is seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join our in-house marketing team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the Switchbacks FC and its subsidiaries visual identity across digital, print, and various social media platforms. From large-scale billboards to digital campaigns, this designer will create impactful visuals that engage fans, promote brand consistency, and enhance the club’s public presence.

The ideal candidate is fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings both technical skill and creative vision to every project. This position requires working most home matchdays at Weidner Field, as well as occasional events and activations outside of gamedays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Out-of-Home (OOH) Creative Production: Design and execute impactful OOH assets for Switchbacks FC, including (but not limited to) billboards, newspaper spadea's, flyers, posters, and large-format stadium graphics.
  • Digital Media & Campaigns: Create visually engaging graphics for Switchbacks FC social media, website banners, email blasts, and monthly newsletters to drive engagement, ticket sales, and brand storytelling.
  • Merchandise & Jersey Design: Collaborate with the merchandise team to develop custom graphics for Switchbacks FC apparel and jersey artwork.
  • Website Graphics & Updates: Design and manage web-based creative content and ensure Switchbacks FC branding is consistent across the team’s online presence.
  • Matchday & Event Design: Produce assets for use on Switchbacks FC matchdays, including lineups, score graphics, LED boards, and in-stadium screens. Provide on-site support and real-time content execution as needed.
  • Print & Marketing Collateral: Develop brochures, signage, promotional flyers, and other print materials to support Switchbacks FC sales, sponsorship, and community relations.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the Switchbacks FC partnership and ticketing teams to ensure timely delivery of creative that meets campaign goals.
  • Brand Stewardship: Uphold and evolve the Switchbacks FC brand identity and visual standards throughout all content, maintaining consistency and high-quality execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in graphic design, ideally within sports, entertainment, or lifestyle branding.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative versatility across digital and print mediums.
  • Working knowledge of production specs for both print and digital formats.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and specifications (Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, Facebook).
  • Availability to work most Switchbacks FC home matches at Weidner Field, including evenings and weekends.
  • Occasional availability for Switchbacks FC off-site events and team functions as needed.
  • A passion for soccer and an understanding of Switchbacks FC culture and its fanbase is highly preferred.
