Maiker Housing Partners is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform

skilled and semi-skilled building and equipment maintenance and repair work at

various Adams County Housing Authority properties. This includes ensuring the

safe and efficient operation of all building systems and providing a

comfortable living environment for residents.

As a socially-conscious public housing authority, Maiker collaborates with

nonprofit organizations, government agencies, the private sector,

landlords, housing providers and the community to ensure healthy housing

environments are available to all Adams County residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of building

systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in building systems and equipment.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing

emergency repairs.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time

spent on each task.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, property managers, and other

maintenance staff.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs and maintenance.
  • May assist with groundskeeping and landscaping duties as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience

  • Two years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of general building maintenance principles and practices.
  • Skill in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
