Week 1: Tuesday – Friday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Week 2: Tuesday – Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Hire Type: CONTRACT-TO-HIRE

Hourly Pay: $24-36/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Stationary Engineer to oversee the safe and efficient operation of boilers and related mechanical systems during overnight shifts. This role is responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Job Duties:

• Operate high-pressure steam boilers and associated equipment in accordance with local and state safety codes.
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on boilers, compressors, pumps, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Maintain chemical treatment levels for boiler systems and ensure proper documentation of chemical readings.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and non-PLC-related electrical issues related to boiler systems.
• Keep accurate records including equipment logs, preventive maintenance documentation, work orders, shift pass-downs, and time sheets.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate the ordering of necessary supplies and components.
• Collaborate with plant maintenance teams to support additional maintenance tasks as needed.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work orders and part tracking.
• Provide coverage for other facilities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Stationary Engineer License (required).
• Strong background in mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting (excluding PLCs).
• Familiarity with boiler operation, chemical treatment systems, and preventive maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and respond to equipment issues quickly and effectively.
• Experience using CMMS platforms for tracking maintenance activities is preferred.
