Description:

The Junior Accountant will handle all accounts payable and receivable functions of Tactical, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations, accounts payable deadlines are met, and receivables are accurately reported. This includes all related journal entries and reconciliation of accounts. The Junior Accountant will also serve as a backup for payroll processing and assume responsibility of payroll and benefits related journal entries. Essential Functions

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews accounts payable process and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Resolves accounts payable issues and queries.
  • Complies with generally accepted accounting principles for financial statements.
  • Manages journal entries, tracking all business transactions as needed.

Other Duties

  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Assists in the preparation of various external and internal reporting needs.
  • Reviews general ledger and reconciles accounts on a monthly basis (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and benefits.
  • Manage accounting journal entries.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days are Monday through Friday. However, limited weekend hours may be required.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
  • 2 years of related experience.

Limited.
