This position provides support the sustainment of the U.S. Army’s Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS). This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the systems infrastructure that supports ammunition logistics operations for global Army missions.

  • Maintain and administer servers (physical and virtual) supporting SAAS environments, including configuration, monitoring, and patching.
  • Implement and maintain security updates, including IAVA/STIG compliance and vulnerability remediation.
  • Provide support for system backups, disaster recovery planning, and continuity of operations.
  • Assist with RMF documentation and activities to support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Manage user accounts, Active Directory group policies, and system-level access controls.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, investigate event logs, and resolve hardware and software conflicts.
  • Ensure system availability, performance, and capacity planning for SAAS hosting environments.
  • Collaborate with database administrators, developers, and network engineers to support secure and integrated application environments.
  • Support system imaging, configuration baselining, and release deployments across multiple environments (development, test, production).
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and change control records in accordance with Army and organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows or Linux systems in a secure, mission-critical environment.
  • Experience with PowerShell, STIG implementation, Registry Settings, Active Directory, and System Hardening.
  • Experience with system hardening and compliance frameworks (e.g., DoD STIGs, DISA checklists).
  • Familiarity with RMF lifecycle and Information Assurance (IA) support tasks.
  • Proficiency in system tools and utilities such as Group Policy Management, PowerShell scripting, and remote monitoring solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical system issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a favorable background investigation or DoD clearance if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S. Army or other DoD logistics or ammunition systems (SAAS experience highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile SAFe methodologies, DevSecOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Git, ServiceNow, and SCCM or equivalent system management suites.
  • Security+ or other DoD 8570-compliant certifications.
