We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant with strong mortgage processing experience and a passion for providing exceptional client service. This hybrid role requires someone who thrives at the intersection of client-facing support and back-end mortgage operations. You’ll serve as a critical partner to a high-performing loan officer, managing the entire loan lifecycle—from pre-qualification to post-closing.

This is a high-impact role where your proactive communication, organizational skills, and compliance know-how will directly contribute to faster closes, happy clients, and long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective borrowers, assisting in gathering initial documents and vetting applications to ensure product and guideline alignment.
  • Manage files from application to post-close, including pre-approvals, pipeline tracking, and follow-up documentation. Ensure all stages of the loan process are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Review applications and documentation to ensure alignment with mortgage guidelines, underwriting requirements, and all federal/state regulations.
  • Maintain an organized loan pipeline with clear status tracking. Communicate proactively with loan officers, clients, and internal teams to resolve issues and prevent bottlenecks.
  • Act as a liaison between the loan officer and client throughout the loan lifecycle. Provide updates, explain documentation requests, and help manage client expectations.
  • Assist loan officers with administrative tasks, CRM updates, appointment scheduling, and lead follow-up to ensure the loan team can operate at maximum efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, underwriting, or related operations
  • 2+ years of experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or in a similar client-facing role within the mortgage industry
  • In-depth knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and/or Non-QM loan programs
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume loan pipelines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with LOS systems such as Arive, Encompass, Calyx Point, or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-first mindset
  • Strong understanding of mortgage compliance, TRID, and federal/state lending regulations
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • NMLS license is a plus, but not required
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred, but not required

Compensation

$90,000 - $100,000 OTE Annual Earnings
