This role will be responsible for facilitating the payroll function at the Jacksonville site. The individual should be familiar with legal aspects of federal, state, and local employment laws as well as the payroll wage and hour laws. There will also be general human resource functions routinely performed around supporting employees with FML or leave requests, payroll, and benefits questions.

  • Minimum of Associates Degree in related HR field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience processing payroll with ADP and HR Generalist work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Time management skills, managing priorities, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder and legally permitted to work in the US
  • This is a fully on-site position 5 days per week
  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll by entering, maintaining, and processing information into the payroll system. Information may include employee's hourly rates, salaries, bonuses, or other compensation, time worked, paid leave/holidays, deductions, tax withholdings, address changes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions or information.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires and terminations.
  • Partners with HR department and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices
  • Reconciles payroll to the general ledger on a bi-weekly basis, 941's on a quarterly basis, and 940, ACA 1095 and W2s on an annual basis
  • Supports audits by providing records and documentation to auditors as needed
  • Responsible for accurate payments of all company benefits and COBRA administration
  • Prepare monthly headcount report for accounting and corporate
  • Support HR and employees with FML and leave of absence requests
  • Maintain employee points tracking for regular and accurate attendance recording
  • Perform other HR related duties as assigned.
