Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will provide intermediate-level technical support and assist with IT operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on technical support with significant physical tasks, including installing equipment and running network cables, to ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide helpdesk support, resolving employee IT requests and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues of moderate complexity.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment in office and manufacturing settings.
- Run network cables and support networking tasks (e.g., configuring switches, troubleshooting connectivity).
- Assist with the administration of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, and support Windows 10/11 endpoints.
- Support Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Sage 100 Advanced (ERP), and Autodesk Vault/Inventor.
- Perform physical tasks, including equipment installation, cabling, lifting or moving hardware (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in areas with dust, noise, and temperature variations.
- Assist with user training and contribute to IT projects, such as software deployments or system upgrades, as needed.
Work Experience:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in IT support, technical support, or a related field, preferably in a Microsoft environment. Experience with Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Power Apps, or Sage 100 is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and configuration.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Online).
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and ability to run network cables.
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Sage 100) or CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Vault/Inventor) is a plus.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals) are a plus but not required.
