Key Responsibilities
- Lead Requirements Gathering for Kansas Agencies: Conduct interviews, site visits, workshops, and document reviews to gather business and technical requirements for statewide digital government services.
- Build Agency Partnerships Across Kansas: Collaborate with state and local agencies—like KDOR, KBI, and the Secretary of State—to align project goals, clarify outcomes, and foster productive working relationships.
- Work Across Teams to Deliver Results: Partner with UI/UX, engineering, and project teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical needs within Kansas’ evolving digital ecosystem.
- Analyze & Interpret Government Needs: Translate stakeholder feedback into actionable insights. Prioritize features that improve accessibility, transparency, and operational efficiency.
- Utilize Low-Code SaaS Platforms: Leverage Tyler’s platform tools and low-code solutions to support faster deployments for Kansas-specific use cases.
- Create Clear & Accurate Documentation: Develop use case scenarios, mockups, workflows, and requirement specifications tailored for Kansas agencies.
- Support QA & Testing: Build and execute test plans to validate that digital tools meet functional needs and compliance standards in Kansas.
- Stay Engaged Through the Project Lifecycle: Participate from discovery to delivery—ensuring long-term value for both the state and its citizens.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in business analysis, preferably supporting public sector clients or SaaS solutions.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with Kansas government leaders and agency staff at all levels—building trust, clarity, and momentum.
- Adaptable and Self-Motivated: Thrive in a fast-paced, flexible environment with shifting priorities and high-impact deliverables.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM, JIRA, low-code platforms, and digital service tools. Experience with Drupal, workflow tools, or microservices is a plus.
- Location-Based Support: While the role is primarily based in Kansas, occasional travel for agency meetings may be required.
