Your Next Role
This position is responsible for owning our technical infrastructure through reviews, recommendations, implementations, and maintenance to ensure the reliability, security, and user-friendliness of our systems and networks. This position will work with organizational leadership, vendors, employees, and information security professionals to coordinate the effective use of technology throughout the company.
As we are a smaller organization, expect to work with a wide swath of technical solutions, with the need to understand how each solution works independently and how the puzzle pieces fit together. Your skills, including knowledge and understanding of Google, Atlassian, and your willingness to engage in ancillary systems, will contribute to our success. Typical tasks include researching and implementing best practices and recommending solutions around configuring third-party applications, patching, and network design. This is a self-directed, hands-on role where you’re expected to be deeply involved in most aspects of our technical infrastructure, including responding to employee technical problems and high-priority support needs.

Primary Duties

- Assessing technical situations and recommend solutions/improvements
- Designing, presenting, and executing plans to improve the technical infrastructure.
- Leveraging extensive knowledge of Information Security best practices to ensure the protection of company data and infrastructure.
- Researching and recommending new approaches including implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the technical infrastructure, including hardware, network, and applications.
- Diagnosing and resolving internal technical issues.
- Supporting internal team members.
- Managing hardware and software.
- Owning system, security, and process documentation.
- Assisting with vendor management activities and business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) activities.

Required Education And Experience
- Deep understanding of technical infrastructure including computing (Microsoft Windows-based), networking (DNS, SSL, Email, QoS), security, and software (Google, Atlassian, Adobe, IIS, Rippling, Slack, Zoom, Azure).
- Significant experience in tools (PowerShell, Crowdstrike, Tenable, Automox/Patch Management, JumpCloud/IdP/SSO, MDM, SASE) for managing systems, security, and networks.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in technology or support-related degree.
- Technology, security, or support-related certifications.
- 4-6 years of experience in similar technologies or roles.
- Significant knowledge of information security (InfoSec) principles.
- Knowledge of business continuity or disaster relief (BC/DR) concepts.
- Familiarity with software development environments (DevOps, SDLC).
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.
