Description
The Energy Strategist will provide technical support to Environ Energy’s energy procurement clients and the company’s internal teams that support the energy procurement business. In this role, you will support client’s energy procurement decision making, prepare energy budgets, analyze commodity market pricing, trends and risk factors. You will also assist in preparing and delivering energy strategies to clients, and other analytical support to further the company’s delivery of energy consulting services and sustainability initiatives.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States. While we welcome applicants from across the country, preference will be given to those located in or near the Eastern Time Zone, due to team and client collaboration needs.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of experience in energy markets, with a preference for experience in energy procurement, retail energy pricing, or energy market analysis.

Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform technical analysis to assist clients in their energy procurement decision making process, analyze the effectiveness of their past purchasing strategies, evaluate new services/products, etc.
- Research and analyze the trends, risks and fundamentals of the energy commodity markets.
- Investigate and evaluate energy supply offers to generate energy purchasing strategies for our clients.
- Develop electricity and natural gas supply budgets for clients.
- Assist in on-boarding new clients, facilitating new and renewal commodity purchases by our clients and supporting and/or conducting a Request for Pricing (RFP).
- Support all facets of the energy procurement consulting services including participating in client calls, purchasing analysis, ongoing account management, etc.
- Create PPT presentations to educate Environ’s clients on the recommended energy procurement strategies.
- Leading in person & virtual conversations directly with C-Suite clients.
- Other duties as required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop spreadsheets and manipulate and analyze data using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create and deliver concise emails, executive summaries and PowerPoint presentations that result in timely actions by our clients.
- Hard-working and highly motivated individuals that are able to work independently or across cross-functional teams.
- Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
