Job Summary: The Production & Inventory Systems Manager will lead a team that supports the purchasing, materials management, and production efforts of multiple divisions while assisting them in optimizing their inventory turns, improving inventory accuracy and reducing aged/obsolete inventory. In addition, the Production & Inventory Systems Manager serves as the Import Compliance Manager with responsibility for company-wide import compliance with the U.S. Customs Border Patrol.

Job Summary: The Production & Inventory Systems Manager will lead a team that supports the purchasing, materials management, and production efforts of multiple divisions while assisting them in optimizing their inventory turns, improving inventory accuracy and reducing aged/obsolete inventory. In addition, the Production & Inventory Systems Manager serves as the Import Compliance Manager with responsibility for company-wide import compliance with the U.S. Customs Border Patrol.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the Team that owns the ERP product database system.
- Manage company inventory levels and support Divisional and Sr Management in obtaining inventory objectives.
- Manage resources to train divisions on managing inventory control.
- Implement and maintain shop floor control and warehouse management best practices at divisional sites.
- Responsible for process improvements and maintenance of systems to ensure accuracy of inventory, materials receiving and products shipped to customers.
- Utilize and train Material Requirements Planning and production concepts.
- Identify and promote technology solutions and trends to improve supply chain management.
- Plan, coordinate, and analyze physical inventories.
- Organize perpetual inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy in the computer system and investigate differences.
- Aid divisions in warehouse organization and space optimization.
- Verify compliance with all import laws regarding materials acquired from foreign vendors.
- Approve purchase orders over scope.
- Oversee interviewing and hiring processes for new department personnel.
- Prepare monthly reports.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration or related field.
- A minimum of 10+ years of supervisory experience is required.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience with logistical movement of materials in the Manufacturing or related industry.
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheet software and other Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency with MRP systems, barcoding and related software.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to interact with customers, suppliers and coworkers in a professional manner.
