Director, Specialty Pharmacy Implementation

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Specialty Pharmacy Implementation to lead the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of specialty pharmacy programs across our organization. This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration of specialty pharmacy services, optimizing patient outcomes, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of specialty pharmacy programs, including Plan design (site visits); buildout and coordination of facility; implementation roll out; execution; and post-launch optimization and customer success.
• Collaborate with internal cross functional teams and external vendors cross-functional teams including IT, manage care, trade relations, clinical, compliance, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and integration.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Align with health system executives or designees on weekly updates.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., URAC, ACHC, NABP).
• Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track implementation success and identify areas for improvement.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external vendors, payers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (PharmD or MBA preferred).
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in specialty pharmacy, with at least 3 years in a leadership or implementation role.
• Knowledge of 340B.
• Proven track record of leading complex healthcare or pharmacy-related implementations.
• Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations, reimbursement models, and regulatory landscape.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• PMP certification is a plus.
