Your Role
Under the leadership and direction of the Head of People & Culture, the Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for the biweekly payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave administration. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of compliance to all applicable Federal, State, and Local employment and wage and hour laws and regulations.

Your Role
Under the leadership and direction of the Head of People & Culture, the Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for the biweekly payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave administration. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of compliance to all applicable Federal, State, and Local employment and wage and hour laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing:
- Bi-weekly end-to-end payroll process including but not limited to data entry, verification and processing of payroll transactions.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions based on employee records and relevant agreements.
- Off-cycle payroll processes as needed.
- Coordination with people and finance departments to reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
- Benefits Administration:
- Management/administration of the annual health fair and benefits enrollment process.
- Processing and additions, terminations, and/or change requests to employee benefits ensuring benefit enrollments and billings are correct.
- Reconciliation of monthly bills and processing for timely payment.
- Leave Administration:
- Managing, tracking, and properly communicating employee leave requests under FMLA, PFL, etc.
- Supervisor and manager training as required and/or as needed on various types of leaves of absence.
- Compliance, Audits, and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations including but not limited to withholding taxes, garnishments, and statutory deductions.
- Conduct routine payroll and quarterly benefit reconciliation audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to areas of responsibility based on regulatory requirements.
- Respond to inquiries from auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Time & Attendance Support & Training:
- Provide system training and technical support pertaining to payroll and/or time and attendance to supervisors and staff as necessary.
- Customer Service & Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for all payroll, benefits and leave of absence related inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Address all issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate information and guidance.
- Collaborate with necessary stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure employee satisfaction.
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, comfort with analysis and reporting.
- Arranger: Excellent organizational abilities to maintain multiple systems and priorities. Proven ability to effectively manage time and meet demands of multiple projects with conflicting priorities.
- Learner: Constantly seeking new ways to improve systems and processes.
- Detail Oriented: Possess a knack for numbers and is meticulous with details.
- Effective Communicator: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to individuals at all levels and areas of an organization. Adept at building solid working relationships.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience with processing multi-state payroll with a blended exempt, non-exempt, part-time, and seasonal staff mix.
- 1+ years experience in leave administration.
- Paylocity experience a plus.
- 10% travel.
- Work location: In Person
