Position Description
Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) seeks a temporary, full-time, bilingual Legal Advocate to join our Seattle office as part of the Community Outreach Unit.
Under the supervision of an attorney, the legal advocate will work closely with staff and volunteers mobilized in response to ICE arrests at Seattle immigration court, providing Know Your Rights materials and consultations to community members, coordinating volunteer and staff roles in court, and collecting information from those requesting further assistance, including community members at risk of arrest, detention, and deportation.
Applicants must be fluent in English and Spanish, and additional languages are encouraged. The selected applicant must be available to start as soon as possible, with an expected commitment of six months. Hourly pay rate will depend on experience: minimum $38.02/hr to maximum $64.70/hr.
