Position Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic individual for a full-time research assistant position to assist with a federally-funded research project. The primary function of the role is to conduct scientific clinical research experiments for an externally funded program, focusing on the coordination of multi-year, school-based implementation research studies.
Job Functions
Assist in the designing, management, implementation, and delivering of high-quality scientific research projects to agreed timelines and budgets under direction of more senior staff, based on the following duties, listed in chronological order:
Coordinate and submit Institutional Review Boards (IRB) research applications, renewals, and amendments.
Assist investigators in supervision of research staff, including delegation and review of work responsibilities of intervention research staff.
Prepare research reports for funding agencies.
Serve as a liaison between research investigators, community-based implementation sites, research funders, consultants, IRB, etc.
Develop/revise documents pertaining to participant recruitment, intervention design and implementation, intervention fidelity, and data collection, data management, data entry and data analysis.
Solicit agenda items for meetings from research staff, dispense agendas, and compose meeting minutes.
Assist with outreach to research sites and other stakeholders to garner support for the intervention implementation and research activities.
Support with the preparation posters and/or abstracts for research presentations at local and national conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in community and/or public health or related field.
Previous Research Assistant Experience Is Required.
Other skills, knowledge and abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail a must.
Ability to collaborate well with co-workers and work independently as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with conducting research for federally-funded and/or school-based projects.
