Instructor Supervisor

Fort Hood, TX Full-Time | On-site | Position Contingent Upon Award

We're seeking a qualified and experienced Instructor Supervisor to lead a team of technical instructors supporting training operations for U.S. Army vehicle platforms and mission equipment. This role requires a strong background in military vehicle maintenance and instruction, as well as the ability to coordinate closely with U.S. Government representatives to meet evolving training requirements. You'll play a critical role in ensuring instructor performance and instructional content aligns with Army Technical Manuals and approved Programs of Instruction (POIs).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations and training execution for a team of technical instructors.
  • Coordinate with U.S. Government personnel and program managers to assess and define training requirements.
  • Secure classroom space, training aids, and logistical support necessary for instruction.
  • Assign instructors to deliver approved Programs of Instruction (POI) across multiple vehicle platforms.
  • Monitor training delivery for quality, accuracy, and effectiveness; provide feedback for improvements.
  • Ensure all training is conducted in compliance with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and related Army Technical Manuals (TMs).
  • Maintain instructor readiness and ensure certifications remain current and platform-specific.

Required Qualifications

Must meet qualifications for Technical Instructor (Occupation Code 15090).

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience supervising or managing technical training teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Army vehicle platforms and mission equipment packages.
  • Familiarity with Army Technical Manuals, IETMs, and POI development.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with Government stakeholders.
  • Skilled in coordinating training resources and managing instructor performance.

Certifications & Licenses

  • Certified per Attachment 0006 NET Instructor Certification SOP for all assigned vehicle platforms and mission equipment.
  • Must meet qualifications for Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with hands-on experience preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical instructor or supervisor in a military training environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering or overseeing training for military ground combat systems.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Additional military instructional training (e.g., Army Basic Instructor Course or equivalent) highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and move between classroom and vehicle training areas.
  • Must be able to lift/move training aids or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to typical maintenance bay or motor pool environments.

Security Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required due to access to sensitive vehicle systems and government training materials.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing New Equipment Training (NET) or Fielding and Sustainment Training.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army training management systems or digital learning environments.
  • Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) training or international military students.
  • Proficiency in Army logistics and maintenance systems (e.g., GCSS-Army).

Position Contingent Upon Award

This position will be filled following the award of a U.S. Army training and sustainment support contract.
