
Purpose of Position
E&B Paving is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll & Office Administrator. Reporting to the Area Manager, this position supports daily office operations with a strong emphasis on payroll entry and timecard management, along with general administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and experienced in handling payroll processes and office coordination. Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Enter and process daily timecards for employees and trucking operations
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll data entry and reporting
- Track hours, job classifications, and verify wage accuracy
Job & Project Support
- Perform daily job cost entry (materials, hauling, supplies, etc.)
- Monitor subcontractor and hauler paperwork to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, haulers, and project teams
General Office Duties
- Organize and update spreadsheets to track materials, DBE payments, job quantities, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive correspondence
- Provide general administrative support to field and office staff
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Solid experience in payroll administration, including timekeeping and job-based payroll support
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, construction-related office environment
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and Word
- Proven ability to stay organized and manage multiple task
- Positive attitude and professional communication skills
Education
High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required. Two year degree preferred
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
