Allient Oshkosh is a premier manufacturer and marketer of custom electrical transformers, utility products, and information and communication products currently looking for a Molding Press Operator to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Shift/Workdays: First Shift Only. Monday through Friday. 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Overtime: Voluntary
Responsibilities:
- Operate an assigned number of transfer molding presses as a member of an assigned crew to produce a variety of epoxy resin encapsulated transformers. Involves an equitable distribution of the workload required to operate and monitor the equipment, assemble and disassemble coil assemblies, clean molded parts, and perform other related elements of work. Receive direction from Supervisor.
- Work from standard operating procedures to operate press and/or assembly fixtures and tools. Follow prescribed procedures for preheating of preforms, loading and unloading of dies, molds, mold inserts on machine.
- Assemble and disassemble coil assemblies and mold inserts. Perform continuity test. Deflash molded parts and trim terminals in appropriate fixture, as required, to assure smooth production flow. Monitor temperature, pressure, and molding cycle and make minor adjustments as needed. Apply mold release, as required. Detect faulty operation and equipment, defective material, damaged dies, mismatched parting lines, shifted dies, excessive flash or other unusual conditions and report to Supervisor.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and the ability to work as a member of a team and comply with instructions and procedures.
- Some judgement is required to perform work in accordance with established procedures and in collaboration with other members of crew.
- Moderate physical effort required to perform assigned work.
- Continuous mental and visual attention required to perform assigned work.
- Reasonable care required to prevent minor injuries to others.
