Oral Roberts University (ORU) is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to serve as a Graduate Assistant for the Men’s Soccer program. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or aspiring coach to gain valuable experience in NCAA Division I athletics while pursuing a master’s degree at a Christ-centered institution.
Responsibilities
Interested candidates should submit the following:
The Graduate Assistant position is a minimum of a two-year commitment and coincides with the entrance into and completion of a graduate program at ORU. Students may take 18-24 months to complete their academic program, depending on the program selected. Graduate Assistants are expected to complete a minimum of two years of service, and to stay in their role through the end of the fiscal year (May 1) in which they complete their graduate program.
The Graduate Assistant must be accepted and enrolled in one of ORU’s graduate programs.
Bachelor’s degree (required with acceptance into an ORU graduate program).
Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Two to four years of collegiate-level player experience at the NCAA level preferred.
Ability to integrate Christian faith into coaching.
Strong knowledge of and ability to communicate that knowledge effectively to student-athletes.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact appropriately with college student-athletes.
Must agree to live a Christian lifestyle that adheres to the Oral Roberts University Honor Code.

- Assist the Head Coach with planning and running practices, training sessions, and team meetings.
- Aid in game-day preparation, including setup, strategy, and in-match support.
- Assist with video analysis, scouting opponents, and tracking player performance using appropriate software.
- Support recruiting efforts, including communication with prospective student-athletes, evaluation, and database management.
- Maintain compliance with NCAA, Summit League, and ORU policies and procedures.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as travel arrangements, equipment inventory, and scheduling.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, upholding the spiritual and academic mission of ORU.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Department.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to be an approved ORU driver.
