Key Responsibilities
- Welding: Performing various welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to join metal pieces.
- Fabrication: Preparing and fabricating metal parts according to blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining metal components and equipment.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and other technical documentation to plan and execute welding tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining various welding equipment, including grinders, drill presses, and cutting tools.
- Quality Control: Inspecting welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Safety: Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Experience: Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience in welding or fabrication.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and related techniques.
- Skills: Ability to read blueprints, use hand tools, and operate welding equipment.
