The Scotsman is seeking to recruit a Westminster Correspondent to lead unrivalled, agenda-setting coverage of Scottish affairs in London.
A senior political journalist with a contacts book to kill for, the successful candidate will be a proven story-getter with a string of exclusives to their name.
As comfortable filing accurately on deadline as they are networking in the corridors of power,
they will be a self-starter with excellent digital storytelling skills and a desire to win. Experience of video journalism is also an advantage.
First-class writing skills and news sense are a given, as well as the ability to work as part of the wider politics team.
Clock-watchers and those who wait to be told what to do need not apply.

Skills/experience
- An experienced journalist, with an NCTJ qualification or equivalent experience and an understanding of the IPSO code
- Authority in the field of UK and Scottish politics
- Able to understand and react to digital analytics
- Accurate and engaging writer
- Able to create engaging digital Multimedia
