Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) for performing roles and defining responsibilities for the operation of the SEOC.
Support mutual aid (inter and intrastate) program requirements by developing policies and procedures and assisting in training other program areas and external partners on mutual aid requirements.
Coordinate with local, state, and federal emergency management partners to respond to mutual aid requests.
Assist with the States EOC credentialing program by tracking position task book (PTB) assignments, training requirements, and preparing documentation for the credentialing review board.
Participate in meetings with Emergency Support Function (ESF) agencies to support a coordinated emergency management response posture effort.
Conduct comprehensive research on homeland security, public security, and emergency management trends at the state, federal and international levels, interacting extensively with agency representatives, subject matter experts, advisory services, and legal resources, as relevant.
Draft preliminary reports and recommendations based on gathered information.
Participate in working groups with multi-discipline and jurisdictional partners on topics to include, but not limited to: Emergency Support Function (ESF) 5 (Planning), ESF 7 (Logistics), weather information needs, mutual aid, ice jams, lake flooding, mass gatherings, etc.
Review and approve planned and unplanned reports for thoroughness and compliance with recognized standards prior to dissemination.
