Pay: Range starts at $18.75/hour (pay is calculated based on years of related experience)

Schedule: M-F | 8 am – 5 pm

Job Summary & Deliverables

The Revenue Cycle Team Lead performs a variety of supervisory tasks and ensures employees have the resources and training to perform their jobs successfully. The Team Lead possesses advanced knowledge and skill within the Revenue Cycle function and utilizes this knowledge and skill to manage and refine activities, projects, and processes and train, coach, and supervise employees. The Team Lead actively encourages a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

  • Supervises the daily activities and operational performance of a team within the Revenue Cycle department
  • Ensures ongoing and transparent communication by holding huddles, one-to-one meetings, and the utilization of approved communication resources. Ensures communication saturation.
  • Promotes a culture of strong performance and high morale
  • Provides orientation, training, and mentoring to new employees; ensures that orientation and training objectives are completed within established timeframes
  • Ensures the completion of operational goals within the required timelines
  • Trains employees to understand unit/business area plan and how each member of the team serves to ensure fulfillment
  • Ensures employee compliance with company policy, procedure, and operational expectations
  • Addresses performance problems and provides appropriate support
  • Improves employee competence by providing educational resources
  • Performs assigned functional duties
  • Maintains professional relationships with other Valley staff, customers, and stakeholders
  • Improves financial and operational results by analyzing data; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to leadership
  • Prepares and analyzes reports as required
  • Manages employee timecards and other payroll responsibilities
  • Works with the Quality Assurance department and Valley Leadership to ensure compliance with all related and applicable regulatory requirements including but not limited to: grants, licensing, audits, property management and Medicaid

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of healthcare billing experience or equivalent education/certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field
  • One year of supervisory experience
