Description

SUMMARY:

Become a part of our team as a Machinist! We are an oil and gas manufacturing facility seeking to enhance our team with a skilled machinist. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills with Fanuc Controls. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years of CNC experience and a solid proficiency in troubleshooting and editing programs.

Work Schedule

Monday- Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Setup and operate various CNC machines (lathes and mills) with Fanuc Controls.
  • Work independently from schematics, blueprints and process drawings
  • Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs
  • Inspect and ensure the quality of finished products
  • Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness
  • Assist and train other operators as needed
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed beyond the primary job scope

Requirements

EHS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s TRIR goals
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals
  • Complete, and actively participate in all the company’s Safety Skills training requirements

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (CNC machining certificate preferred)
  • Minimum of 2+ years CNC experience, specifically with Fanuc Controls.
  • Strong communication skills; able to understand technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Candidates must be able to successfully pass a drug test and background check as part of the employment process.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of a shop or warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.
  • Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Work Environment

  • Work primarily occurs in a heated, non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment.
  • Hazards may include proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and exposure to chemicals.
