JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the direct supervision of a School Nutrition
Director, this position ensures accurate financial management and
efficient daily operations for both school nutrition services and
general school finances. The individual in this role supports families
and staff, processes financial transactions, operates POS systems,
manages student accounts, and maintains organized records in compliance
with district and regulatory standards. Hours are 8:30 - 2:30, Monday -
Friday with flexibility to support breakfast programming as needed.
Starting wage is \$20.00/hour. This is not a benefits eligible position
based on ACA guidelines. Essential Functions: School Nutrition
Responsibilities (40%) Process lunch payments and respond to account
inquiries. Manage all account transfers and refunds (students withdrawn,
seniors) Organize and support all low-balance and negative-balance
communications to families. Collaborate with external stakeholders for
confidential information across the district. Maintains and
troubleshoots vending machines; manages reports and sales (BP & BV).
Operate and train others on the Point-of-Sale (POS) system. Reconcile
daily cash drawers and submit accurate reports. Maintain direct
certification and assist with meal applications and other free and
reduced account support as necessary. Support school nutrition events,
donations (e.g., Giving Tree, Angel Accounts, Grace & St. Paul), and
food service logistics. Financial Responsibilities (40%) Process cash
receipts and prepare bank deposits for school funds. Reconcile daily
cash drawers and submit accurate reports. Prepare deposits for the
Financial Department. Perform accounts payable and receivable functions,
and reconcile bank statements. Generate and distribute financial reports
to administrators and advisors. General Administrative & Communication
Support (20%) Handle routine administrative duties: filing,
correspondence, phone/email inquiries, and mail, invoices, support
catering, and support the Administrative Assistant as needed. Provide
requested financial information to staff and parents. Maintain orderly
financial and meal records and support audits and internal reviews.
Maintain and support Mosiac student food service system to ensure smooth
operations and transitions year over year (change of meal prices, start
of year/end of year, fixes for the account system). The Howard-Suamico

Post-secondary Finance, Accounting, Business, or Nutrition related
education or equivalent work experience is desirable; high school
diploma required. Skill testing may be administered for eligible

of 1 to 3 years in food service/POS/accounting systems preferred.
