What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Inventory and Remarketing Manager to oversee the lifecycle of repossessed commercial trucks and trailers across the United States. This individual will be responsible for managing the storage, inspection, valuation, repair decisions, and disposal strategy of all recovered assets. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge of transportation equipment, strong technical, organizational and analytical skills, and proven leadership capabilities.

Job Duties:
- Asset Tracking & Management
- Maintain a centralized inventory of all repossessed equipment nationwide.
- Monitor asset status from repossession through final disposition.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into asset management systems.
- Storage & Logistics
- Identify and coordinate storage locations across the U.S. based on cost, proximity, and security.
- Manage relationships with storage yards, transporters, and logistics providers.
- Inspection & Valuation
- Arrange for physical inspections and appraisals of repossessed equipment, as needed.
- Evaluate condition reports and determine fair market value.
- Decide on repair vs. as-is sale strategies based on ROI analysis.
- Disposition Strategy
- Develop and execute remarketing strategies: retail, wholesale or auction.
- Build and maintain relationships with dealers, auction houses, and end-users.
- Negotiate sales and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a small team of asset coordinators or field inspectors.
- Collaborate with collections, legal, and finance teams to streamline processes.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership.
- Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years in transportation, fleet management, or equipment remarketing.
- Strong understanding of commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Experience with repossession, asset recovery, or leasing/finance preferred.
- Skills
- Technically savvy with experience using asset management or CRM systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Effective communicator and team leader.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred.
- $90,000-$125,000 annual salary depending on skills and experience
