As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to lead and grow relationships with our largest and most important customers. This is a critical role within our sales team that offers the opportunity to shape the strategic direction and contribute directly to the success of our national sales efforts.
Position Overview
The Director of Sales will be responsible for managing, nurturing, and growing relationships with our largest national retail and distributor customers. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, exceptional customer relationship management, and hands-on sales execution. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, ensure customer satisfaction, and expand our market share in the organic and natural food space. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
○ Serve as the main point of contact for top-tier accounts, building long-term, trust-based relationships with decision-makers.
○ Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within key accounts, aligning with our company’s growth objectives.
○ Ensure sales targets and KPIs are met or exceeded, consistently increasing revenue from assigned accounts.
○ Monitor account performance and provide regular forecasting, reporting, and insights to senior management.
○ Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely product availability, delivery schedules, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
○ Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams based on customer insights, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences.
○ Develop pricing strategies based on market conditions, cost structures, and customer-specific demands.
○ Engage in regular business reviews with customers, identifying opportunities for further growth and improvement.
○ Analyze key account performance and track progress toward established sales targets and growth goals.
Qualifications
$170,000 Annually
Bonus Opportunity is up to 15% of salary.

- Contract and Negotiation Management:
○ Develop pricing strategies based on market conditions, cost structures, and customer-specific demands.
- Customer Support & Relationship Building:
○ Engage in regular business reviews with customers, identifying opportunities for further growth and improvement.
- Reporting and Analysis:
○ Analyze key account performance and track progress toward established sales targets and growth goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: ○ Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of managing large national accounts in the food industry (preferably in organic, natural, or protein categories). ○ Experience with retail and distributor channels is required. ○ Strong knowledge of the organic food market, consumer trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Skills: ○ Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. ○ Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. ○ Ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
