Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor operational areas affecting admissions, report findings to administration and corporate teams, and assist in developing solutions.
- Support marketing efforts by attending events and outreach functions to promote the facility’s positive image and increase referral volume.
- Explain visitor and guest privileges, restrictions, and resident care procedures clearly and professionally.
- Coordinate admissions logistics with hospitals, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to generate consistent admissions and uphold the facility’s reputation.
- Verify patient financial information accurately before admission and communicate details to the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care reimbursement processes, and insurance plans.
- Prepare and report monthly admissions statistics to your team.
- Minimum 2 year experience in Admissions within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare requirements, PDPM, HMO rules, RUGS II & III, and Medicare prescription plans.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Understanding of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance plan nuances.
