Westminster School District is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network and IT Solutions Manager to join our forward-thinking Technology Services team. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this position leads the development, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of district-wide network infrastructure and cybersecurity operations while managing key instructional and operational systems such as LMS, AI integrations, and IoT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Infrastructure & Cybersecurity: Oversee the design, configuration, management, and security of wired/wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP systems, and access control platforms.
  • System Monitoring & Optimization: Use advanced diagnostic and monitoring tools to ensure high uptime, performance, and secure operations.
  • Leadership in Technology Systems: Guide implementation and support for Learning Management Systems (LMS/SLMS), AI tools, Work Order Systems, and IoT integrations.
  • Cybersecurity Strategy & Response: Serve as the district’s subject matter expert in network security, compliance (FERPA, COPPA), incident response, and risk mitigation.
  • Training & Capacity Building: Design and deliver technical training to staff, students, and IT team members.
  • Strategic Planning & Collaboration: Participate in inter-district, vendor, and agency collaborations; prepare reports and maintain system documentation.
  • Policy Development & Compliance: Support the development of cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and best practices.
  • Administrative & Supervisory Duties: Supervise Network Analyst and other technical staff; provide consultation to district leadership and Board of Trustees.


Desired Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (OSPF), switching, VLANs, 802.11ac/ax, VoIP/SIP, MDM, ACLs, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Expertise in integrating and managing AI and IoT solutions in K-12 settings
  • Strong background in system diagnostics, incident response, network optimization, and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results under deadlines
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with project management, security awareness training, and performance evaluations
  • Ability to supervise, evaluate, and train technical staff


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field (or equivalent technical training/experience)
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Experience in K-12 network/systems operations, technical support, and infrastructure management
  • Candidates with a valid California Administrative Services Credential and experience in IT operations will be considered


Licenses & Conditions

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Fingerprint clearance prior to first day of employment
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs; work in office and school site environments; perform physical tasks as required
