Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal reporting packages.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account complex reconciliations, and preparation for audit schedules.
- Oversee general ledger maintenance, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Collaborate with AP/AR to manage cash flow and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis on budget development, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings; monitor changes in tax regulations.
- Assist in managing Private Equity reporting requirements, including consolidation reporting, investor queries, and financial due diligence.
- Work directly with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Implement and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Identify and drive opportunities for automation and process optimization within the accounting function.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience (corporate or public accounting)
- Experience in Private Equity or working with PE-backed organizations
- Experience in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and fluency in GAAP (IFRS a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas)
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- CPA or CMA certification (or actively pursuing)
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or PE-backed environment
- Familiarity with financial modeling and reporting dashboards
