Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated success in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong business partnering skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive results.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing financial systems (e.g., OneStream, MicroStrategy/Strategy, or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and executive presence.

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Hybrid work environment based in Deerfield Beach, FL, with a mix of on-site and remote work.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Position Summary:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a critical role in Gemaire’s finance leadership team, responsible for building and leading the FP&A function. This leader will own all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, oversee incentive compensation analysis and administration, and serve as a strategic business partner to cross-functional leaders. The Director will also drive improvements in financial systems and reporting, and play a key role in developing the FP&A team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and grow the FP&A team, including direct management of FP&A staff and the Compensation Manager (with a dotted line to HR).
  • Own and continuously improve all budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with Gemaire’s objectives.
  • Oversee the analysis, modeling, and administration of incentive compensation plans in partnership with HR, ensuring alignment with business goals and performance metrics.
  • Serve as a business partner to Sales, Operations, HR, and IT, providing actionable financial analysis, business case support, and decision-making guidance.
  • Drive the adoption and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools, including OneStream (financial reporting) and MicroStrategy/Strategy (data analytics).
  • Take ownership of the analysis and reporting for Enable vendor rebate software, establishing clear processes and driving actionable insights.
  • Support the integration of acquired businesses into FP&A processes and systems as needed (infrequent, but may be required).
  • Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for FP&A operations.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis and reports to the CFO, the executive team at Gemaire, and, as needed, to the leadership team of our public parent company.
