Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrates proficiency utilizing Mastercam NC Programming software:
- Create and maintain NC source code for a variety of NC machinery.
- Calculate speeds and feeds for efficient machine operation.
- Utilize advanced tool path and material removal techniques.
- Successfully simulate all programs to alleviate shop floor delays.
- Provide comprehensive Setup and Tool List documentation.
- Display ownership and exercise continuous improvement of active programs.
- Process work within performance and delivery requirements.
- Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion team to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals/objectives.
- Work closely with departmental leads to ensure standardized practices and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines or programs as they arise.
- Role model proper work ethics, behaviors, hygiene, and dress.
- 5 years CNC programming experience.
- Competent in multi-axis (3-, 4-, 5-axis) CNC programming.
- Advanced knowledge of machining processes.
- CAD design and Solid modeling experience required.
- Understanding of post processor controls and settings.
- Experience developing tooling and production processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications (Boeing blueprint knowledge a plus).
- Ability to comprehend GD&T fundamentals.
- Ability to utilize correct cutter types.
- Fluent G-code knowledge.
- Experience with Catia, Microsoft Office and an ERP system would be beneficial.
