As a RN Home Visitor and public health employee, you will serve an active role in improving the health of your community.As part of a small, but mighty team, you will provide NFP home visitation services to first-time mothers in Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) service areas. You will empower first-time moms to create a better life for themselves and their baby. As part of our team, you'll be instrumental in achieving the three core objectives of our program: develop economic self-sufficiency, improve pregnancy outcomes, and foster healthy child development.
Flexibility with work hours may be necessary to ensure effective service delivery, and access to a personal vehicle may be required for this position.

Typical Duties
Candidates must be able to complete the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and meet all the mandatory qualifications of the position.
- Use professional knowledge, judgement, and skills to apply the NFP Visit-to-Visit Guidelines.
- Carry a caseload of active clients and provide services following the NFP Model Elements.
- Perform professional nursing that may include client assessment, plan development, health education, clinical activities, case management, and provide direct nursing care.
- Collect data as specified by the NFP National Service Office and use NFP reports to guide their practice, assess, and guide program implementation, inform clinical supervision, enhance program quality, and demonstrate program fidelity.
- Enter data collected from home visits into program management information system.

Minimum Qualifications (MQ)
- Licensed as a Professional Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined in Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin
- Valid Driver’s License
- Baccalaureate degree-level Registered Nurse is preferred by the NFP program and the contract between Idaho Health and Welfare and Southwest District Health.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Fluency in speaking, writing, and/or reading both English and Spanish.
