We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounting Assistant to join our Finance and Accounting team at our Reno headquarters. This cross-functional role offers the exciting opportunity to work across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Order Management — ideal for someone eager to learn multiple facets of accounting and make an impact from day one.
What You'll Do:
- Apply customer payments and credits in the accounting system with precision, assisting in maintaining up-to-date accounts receivable records.
- Accurately enter vendor bills and ensure timely processing of accounts payable transactions to maintain positive vendor relationships and support cash flow management.
- Assist with downloading and reconciling daily bank transactions to help ensure financial accuracy and timely updates to records.
- Input and validate customer orders with attention to detail, supporting seamless order fulfillment and alignment with customer expectations.
- Assist with account reconciliations, audits, and month-end closing procedures by preparing supporting documentation and reviewing transaction accuracy.
- Perform additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed, contributing to team goals and operational excellence.
- Gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions, with opportunities to grow skills in financial reporting, process improvement, and ERP systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or experience in a financial environment or equivalent combination of experience or equivalent training and experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting or related field, with knowledge of basic accounting and accounting transactions
- QuickBooks, IFS and Excel experience is a plus
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP, AR, cash posting)
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word; ERP and QuickBooks experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
