As we expand our clean energy initiatives, we’re looking for a Project Coordinator to support the execution of small to mid-sized commercial solar projects.

Position Summary

As part of the Renewables team at Crete United Energy Services, the Project Coordinator will assist in project scheduling, permitting, subcontractor management, and documentation. You’ll work closely with project managers to ensure commercial solar PV projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards. This role is critical to keeping projects organized, permits moving, and subcontractors aligned—all in support of a cleaner energy future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the full lifecycle of commercial solar PV projects from planning and permitting through construction and closeout.
  • Coordinate project schedules, track deliverables, and manage project timelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with subcontractors, supporting scheduling, onboarding, compliance, and performance tracking.
  • Manage permitting and inspection processes with AHJs and utilities; track progress and follow up as needed.
  • Assist with utility interconnection applications and documentation.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to support field execution, quality control, and coordination with crews and subs.
  • Maintain project documentation including contracts, drawings, submittals, RFIs, inspection reports, and closeout packages.
  • Assist with budget tracking, billing coordination, and documentation of change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Organize and document meetings, prepare agendas, and manage follow-ups.
  • Leverage project management tools to streamline workflow and reporting.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating commercial construction or solar projects.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, permitting workflows, and utility interconnection processes.
  • Experience working directly with subcontractors and supporting field teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Asana).
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in the renewable energy or construction industries.
