Responsibilities Include
- Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage construction schedules and project phases.
- Coordinate with foremen daily to monitor progress and resolve field challenges.
- Manage procurement, deliveries, and site logistics to maintain workflow.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight
- Track weekly labor and material costs against project budgets.
- Review and approve timecards; identify and correct budget variances.
- Report financial status updates to leadership weekly.
- Team Leadership & Safety
- Lead weekly coordination meetings with field crews.
- Ensure proper manpower distribution and monitor team performance.
- Collaborate with Safety Coordinator to enforce safety standards.
- Preconstruction & Estimate Coordination
- Assist estimators with verifying scope, labor, and material assumptions.
- Organize bid documents and support proposal development.
- Provide field feedback to enhance estimating accuracy.
- Client Relations & Bid Presentations
- Present project bids and proposals to clients and general contractors.
- Communicate clearly on scope, timelines, and expectations.
- Maintain client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation & Closeout
- Manage RFIs, submittals, permits, and inspections.
- Track changes, update logs, and oversee project documentation.
- Lead closeout efforts including punch lists and warranty submissions.
- GC & Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for GCs, inspectors, and stakeholders.
- Deliver weekly project updates and escalate issues when needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical project management (commercial preferred).
- Strong skills in project scheduling, budgeting, and logistics.
- Solid understanding of electrical estimating and job sequencing.
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
