Scrum Master
Job Summary
B&A is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in delivering high-quality solutions within a government or regulatory environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong Agile leadership skills, be highly collaborative, and have a proven ability to coach teams through Agile processes and ceremonies. The Scrum Master will facilitate the planning and execution of Agile development work, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and continuous improvement practices.

The Scrum Master will facilitate the planning and execution of Agile development work, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and continuous improvement practices.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional Agile teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
- Guide teams and the organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed backlog aligned with product goals and organizational priorities.
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder team productivity and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and transparent team environment that emphasizes continuous improvement.
- Track and report key Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and cycle time.
- Support Agile adoption across the organization and coach teams on Agile best practices.
- Utilize Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) for tracking and reporting.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in a government or regulatory environment.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- Proven experience leading medium-to-large cross-functional Agile teams.
- Hands-on experience with Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog management, and team coaching.
- Experience using Agile project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and how Agile frameworks operate within it.
- Additional Agile certifications such as PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or similar.
- Experience supporting Agile transformations or scaling Agile frameworks.
- Familiarity with federal government IT environments, compliance standards, and reporting structures.
- Exposure to DevSecOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments.
- Excellent facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
