The primary focus of this role is to lead the deployment of the Mirion Factory Development System (MFDS). This individual will spearhead the creation, training, and implementation of MFDS across our global factories, with the primary objective of standardizing the operating system of our factories to ensure the delivery of products with best-in-class safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. This leader will be crucial in maintaining and evolving MFDS content to support the lean Pillar of Mirion Business System (MBS), driving continuous improvement and transformation within our manufacturing facilities globally.

This individual will spearhead the creation, training, and implementation of MFDS across our global factories, with the primary objective of standardizing the operating system of our factories to ensure the delivery of products with best-in-class safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. This leader will be crucial in maintaining and evolving MFDS content to support the lean Pillar of Mirion Business System (MBS), driving continuous improvement and transformation within our manufacturing facilities globally.
The MFDS leader is expected to be the subject matter expert within lean, leveraging the Toyota Production System (TPS) principles to drive standardization of our operating systems within our factories globally.
Essential Duties
- Lead the development, training, and deployment of MFDS across Mirion factory operations globally, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategies.
- Establish standardized processes and procedures within MFDS to streamline operations, improve problem-solving capabilities, and enhance safety, product quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address challenges and opportunities for improvement within factory operations, leveraging MFDS principles and methodologies.
- Maintain and evolve MFDS content in alignment with the lean Pillar of MBS, incorporating best practices and industry standards to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Provide guidance and support to regional teams in developing MFDS capabilities internally, facilitating their transformation journey and helping them realize tangible results.
- Develop and implement a maturity roadmap within MFDS to enable capability development and ensure sustained improvement realized within Mirion Factories and supporting functions.
- Extend MFDS principles beyond the shop floor to define standard operating systems for essential factory support functions such as Procurement, Finance, and Engineering, driving alignment and efficiency across the organization.
- Proven track record of leading and implementing complex initiatives within a global manufacturing environment, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of lean principles and methodologies, with experience in developing and deploying standardized processes and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a passion for driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Proven project management skills, including prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and delivering results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (estimated 25% travel). Individual is expected to be daily within the manufacturing plant when not traveling to other facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on process improvement, lean methodologies, and operational excellence.
