Position Summary
The Prevention Manager is a key part of the Prevention Department's leadership team and is responsible for the management and implementation of assigned programs. The prevention department serves as the outreach arm of the organization. The Prevention Manager performs administrative, supervisory, budgetary, and technical duties in overseeing, planning, coordinating and implementing assigned programs, services and/or grants. Actively engages with system-wide Leaders to support accomplishing CrescentCare's overall mission and objectives.
Works collaboratively with internal and external partners in federal, state, and local agencies to deliver the highest quality programs and services in accordance with all regulatory and grant requirements. Responsible for management of their team members from hire to exit by modeling, hiring, clarifying expectations, coaching, and developing as well as holding accountable to CrescentCare's attendance, behavior, and performance expectations.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful management and implementation of CrescentCare’s Harm Reduction programs in the Prevention Department
- Responsible for advance planning to ensure long-term goals and objectives of the program and department are on track and executed smoothly and efficiently
- Work collaboratively with other leadership and staff in the department to manage the implementation of the Prevention Department’s Harm Reduction programs, including the New Orleans Syringe Access Project (NOSAP), manage CrescentCare’s Harm Reduction mobile unit program, oversee venue based testing/outreach work, and oversee the implementation of appropriate harm reduction and community based outreach programming.

Education
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Management, or similar field required
- Five (5) years’ relevant professional experience (public health, non-profit management, city/state government, research, and/or other comparable experience)
- Including two (2) years’ relevant experience in grant management or public health program management directly related to Harm Reduction work required
- Two (2) years’ experience in direct supervisory experience required.
