The Event Coordinator reports to the Events Director and together with the operations team is responsible for the sales, planning, design, coordination, and execution of all contracted events. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hospitality experience, with a deep passion for food + beverage, and will be comfortable dealing directly with diverse clientele in a very fast-paced environment. We anticipate substantial growth in the coming years and are looking for a candidate who wants to grow with us and play a key role in our success.

Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for event clients, supporting them through the full sales process.
- Understand client needs and tailor event proposals to create personalized, high-quality experiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and industry partners.
- Support with menu tastings, venue walk-throughs, and contract negotiations to ensure a seamless planning experience.
- Support with event logistics from start to finish, ensuring alignment with Marlow Events' creative direction and operational capabilities.
- Compile and distribute detailed event documentation, including BEOs, bar pull sheets, staffing schedules, and timelines.
- Place and coordinate rental and vendor orders, ensuring all contracts align with event needs and budget.
- Secure all necessary permits and compliance requirements (e.g., SLA).
- Occasionally attend and oversee event execution, providing hands-on leadership to guarantee seamless service and client satisfaction.
- Support with developing and maintaining service documents, procedures, and best practices for all event formats.
- Support with tracking expenses
- Organized and detail-oriented: must have the ability to create systems for managing daily tasks
- Works well under pressure: must be able to gracefully respond to demand in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter: must have the desire to drive the business forward and understand its many moving parts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated, high level of energy and work ethic
- Fluency with Microsoft Office and the Google suite
- A minimum of 2 years of Front of House Restaurant experience preferred
- Available for a Tuesday - Saturday schedule with flexibility as required by event needs
- Driver’s license helpful but not required
