The Payroll Specialist is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across multiple divisions in the construction industry, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations—including prevailing wage requirements and incentive-based compensation. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish, as it supports field staff and employees across various trades. Experience with Spectrum construction software, piecework/incentive pay structures, and certified payroll reporting is essential. Position Summary

Experience with Spectrum construction software, piecework/incentive pay structures, and certified payroll reporting is essential. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll using Spectrum (Viewpoint) for multiple construction companies and trades
- Accurately calculate and enter piecework and incentive pay based on production reports and job-specific metrics
- Track and process prevailing wage rates, ensuring compliance with Davis-Bacon and local requirements
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as required
- Review and reconcile timesheets, production logs, and job cost data
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and garnishments
- Support English and Spanish-speaking employees with payroll-related questions
- Ensure compliance with wage laws including overtime, sick leave, and garnishments
- Assist with W-2s, tax filings, and year-end processes
- Work with HR, accounting, and field leadership to ensure payroll accuracy
- 2–4 years of payroll experience in the construction industry
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal) – required
- Spectrum (Viewpoint) payroll experience is required
- Experience with prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting
- Proficient in piecework and incentive-based pay calculations
- Strong attention to detail with excellent reconciliation skills
- Clear communication and problem-solving skills across diverse teams
- Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred
