Job Summary
The IT Technical Director is to leverage their strong technical acumen to suggest new technologies, enhance existing technologies, and ensure IT services are properly maintained. The Technical Director will serve as the subject matter expert for all other IT technical staff. This is a hands-on technical leadership role and as such requires deep knowledge of current and future technologies to drive high-availability of our corporate infrastructure.

Responsibilities Include
- Responsible for ongoing management and maintenance of internal and customer-faced operations stack including production hardware and computers.
- Collaborate with executive management to develop Information Technology strategy and tactics including detailed requirements in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
- Direct the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems.
- Responsible for researching and evaluating new technologies that will improve service and/or reduce costs to the company.
- Implement and manage network security policy as appropriate and ensure that company infrastructure meets the needs of customers and the company.
- Work with leadership to negotiate service level agreements, renewal agreements and new contracts with external service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements. Manage and safeguard software media and associated licenses.
- Architect and manage complex solutions for production and internal environments. Demonstrated ability to design a technical infrastructure from the ground up.
- Leadership of technology operations and personnel including building and restructuring teams and staffing planning.
- Provide leadership for the IT team including daily tasks and ongoing growth plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline OR equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of seven years IT experience at the Senior level of IT Systems Administration in a SaaS company.
- At least 5 years in an IT Management with supervisory responsibility.
- Extensive experience with VMWare and VMWare Cloud or AWS production environments; Microsoft Exchange; SQL Server; LANs, WLAN’s and WANs; Citrix and other connectivity options. Extensive technical knowledge and expertise in hardware infrastructure and virtualization.
- Experience managing technology staff in multiple locations/time zones.
- “Hands on” work philosophy. Ability to resolve problems and lead the IT team to technical growth is a must.
- Experience with software/hardware implementations to a user base that varies regionally.
- Prolonged periods of seating
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends if deemed necessary
- Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Certain management positions might be required to occasional travel
